Hello, and welcome to my piano teaching webpage!

Ever since I was a young child, I have been enamored with the little piano toy. From the age of six, I persistently pleaded with my parents to let me learn this enchanting instrument. Finally, at the age of ten, they arranged for piano lessons, and since then, the piano has become my dear friend, accompanying me through sorrows and joys, enriching my life.

With over fifteen years of teaching experience, I have honed my skills and nurtured a profound understanding of the piano. I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 certification. In addition, I obtained a Diploma in Music Education from The Education University of Hong Kong and a diploma in giudance and counselling from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, where I expanded my knowledge and pedagogical expertise.

As a registered teacher in Hong Kong, I have had the privilege of imparting my musical knowledge to students from various backgrounds. I served as a music teacher and choir conductor in a primary school for seven years, fostering the musical talents of young minds. Additionally, I was conducting a children’s choir within a church for four years, guiding and mentoring the next generation of musical enthusiasts.

Beyond teaching, I am a composer and have had the opportunity to create and produce a delightful children’s music album. Bringing music into life and inspiring young minds through my compositions has been a meaningful experience. Furthermore, I have dedicated thirty years of service as a pianist within my church community—a role that I hold in great honor.

I am a full member of EPTA (European Piano Teachers Association), an organization that promotes excellence in piano education. This membership has allowed me to stay abreast of the latest teaching methodologies and collaborate with fellow educators.

My teaching philosophy revolves around nurturing students’ love for music while imparting instrumental skills and a deep understanding of musical knowledge. I believe in tailoring the curriculum to each individual’s needs, ensuring that they not only make progress in piano skills but also develop a profound appreciation for the artistry and emotions evoked by music.
